A "Star Wars" Wedding

A short time ago, in a galaxy not so far away, I met a bride named Joy who wanted a Star Wars themed dessert table.  I love the Star Wars movie series both old and new. During her consultation we brainstormed and decided to incorporate Yoda, BB-8 and Death Stars with her wedding colors that included a beautiful shade of blush pink and silver.

The ceremony was held at Hampton Cove Wedding Plantation. The sweetheart cake featured Yoda on one side with our made from scratch lemon cake with cream cheese icing. The cake was covered in fondant with drape, rolled sugar flowers, and a blush pink band.

I was invited to attend and witness the ceremony. It was a beautiful spring day. The bride and groom said their vows in the garden. The reception followed indoors. Here are the BB-8 inspired cupcakes. Lemon cupcakes with cream cheese icing with fondant cupcake toppers.

60 Death Star Cake Pops were made for this event in chocolate and lemon flavors. It was a pleasure to work on a wedding theme that was so imaginative and creative. Thank you Joy.
